Baby room progress … and eight months of progress, too

It’s a darned good thing we’re making some progress in the baby’s room, because today, I officially hit eight months. EIGHT. MONTHS. There are, officially, just eight weeks remaining in our long, long, journey of gestation. So far, we’ve painted the baby’s room (two colors!), and today we put up our cute monkey wallpaper border. I’ve got curtains ready to go up, with a matching lamp, and on Friday we’ll get our new flooring in — and don’t worry, I know what you’re thinking. “Gee, pretty, how very Martha of you. But um … where’s Hammer going to sleep?” Well, don’t worry. We actually did buy a crib this weekend, so by NEXT weekend, things should be shaping up into like, an actual bedroom. It’s very exciting. Here are some pictures of our progress!

  1. that bambino room is just beautiful!

I voted for Knud because it’s Dunk spelled backwards, and Dunky is kind of cute. . . I just can’t bear the thought of little Sutcliffe being the brunt of bully jokes. . . Gullet reminds me of fishing, and Radman is destined to be a gnarly skateboarder dude.

  2. What’s the deal with masking tape and gloves while painting? Real men (and women, just ask Cat) cut in by hand and lick wet paint off their hands at lunch, mistaking it for mayo!
