In honor of Derby week, we thought we’d introduce Elias to the world of big iron horses at the park.
Although at the rate he’s growing, or attempting to grow, life as a jockey is not for him. Eli had a little growth spurt this week, mostly marked by eating constantly, crying a lot, and wanting to be held all the time. Oh, and he hates the car now. So, that’s been fun. Mommy and Eli have spent a lot of quality time together this week, and Eli has done most of his sleeping in the Baby Bjorn. But I think we’ve crossed over into the sleeping-a-lot portion of the growth spurt (though that could just be the heat, it was a balmy 89 degrees in here yesterday), and when he’s awake, he’s SUPER smiley. So, that’s pretty great. In other news, Eli got a papasan chair this week, which made for many adorable moments:
In other photos (see them all here), Eli tried to love the bath, but mostly only liked being bundled up in a towel at the end, we had another play date with Merle, and learned that Eli loves other babies, and we visited the Montclair park to see some baby ducks. Awww. Stay tuned for the results of our well-baby appointment on Thursday, where we’ll find out what kind of damage was done by the growth spurt. Oh, and he has to get his shots, so I anticipate a Return to Grouchy. Bummer.
