We’re writing to you from sunny Portland, Ore., where we’re laid over en route to Montana. (It’s a last-minute trip due to Grandpa Bobo’s clever plan to lure Eli out of California by going to the hospital.) So far, we’ve completed one leg of our very first ever airplane trip with Eli, and at the risk of jinxing the entire remainder of the trip, he’s been doing very well! He slept like a stone through takeoff (must have been the first-class accommodations), nursed happily on landing, and spent the last part of the flight charming flight attendants and other passengers with his gummy little grin. We, on the other hand, were less charmed by his giant poop blowout, which necessitated a change of both diaper and clothes. Good thing for those roomy first-class seats. Ahem. Nevertheless, we decided to keep him.
