Eli had a big eating weekend, most of it occurring in the last few hours at the Alameda County Fair.
Our plan to hit the fair early in the morning to avoid crowds worked perfectly. We saw what seemed like thousands of 4H bunnies, chickens, geese, turkeys, pigs and even a peacock. Eli was obsessed with the bunnies, shoving his finger in the cages right below the “don’t stick your fingers in the cages” sign (he appreciated the irony).
After the petting zoo, some farm work, and a little tractoring it was time for the best part of the fair, the food:
He begged for corn and then ate the cob clean:
Frozen chocolate dipped banana as his starter desert:
He then decided daddy’s ice cream looked better:
And finished off with some of Uncle Matt’s cotton candy:
All in all a good and exhausting day. See more photos and videos including the rest of the weekend.
