Shots and a string-bean

We went to Eli’s well-baby appointment yesterday, which was traumatic for everyone, but at least it ended in cute band-aids:

More band-aids

Yep, Eli had to start his vaccinations yesterday with five–that’s right, five shots. Poor little man. Actually, I think he screamed more about having to get all undressed and weighed, but believe me, he was not a happy camper about the shots, either. But he’s been basically sleeping ever since, so that’s been kind of quiet and nice. He slept seven hours last night (7:30 to 2:30 a.m.), ate, went right back to sleep, and has been doing just that ever since. I feel like I should be doing dishes instead of blogging!

In other news, Eli is a beanpole. He’s 24 inches long (96th percentile height) and 10 pounds 15 ounces (50th percentile weight). And his head is starting to catch up — he’s up to a whopping 26th percentile, so there must be some good brainpower in there after all! Stay tuned for more Week 10 photos in the next couple of days.

A day with Eli; his behavior was exemplary baby behavior, lots of smiles and coos.
